So how is the average person supposed to distinguish between ICE and a kidnapper?

They are not required to wear uniforms or name tags. They are not required to show their faces. They are not required to have a warrant. And people are supposed to cooperate with this?

My first thought would be that I am about to be the victim of a crime - kidnapping, rape, violence, torture, or murder. What are people supposed to think? I would resist in every way possible.

They can't. Call local jurisdiction Law Enforcement and let them sort it out. Will slow down ICE operations anyway. . nt Bernardo de La Paz Saturday #1

If you are being attacked or kidnapped, you have a right to defend yourself, which varies from state to state.

You can try to call 911, but the first thing any mugger, rapist, or terrorist will do is grab your phone.

But they won't. The first person who shoots an ICE agent (or whoever these masked people are) will get thrown to the alligators. No due process.

but, apparently, if someone says they are ICE, then they are allowed to kidnap people even if they don't work for ICE.

I wonder how many people have been taken by criminals who aren't part of the government.

Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered by someone dressed up as a cop, complete with cop car. That could happen to anyone who opens their door to a stranger.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?
