What does the failure of Plan B mean for us?

And what are the implications going forward for Boehner's total failure to lead his party? What if some whack job winds up as Speaker? I mean, some whack job like Cantor or Ryan? Where does this implosion within the Republican party leave the rest of the country?

Talk about a dysfunctional family! But is their internal dysfunction going to drag the rest of us down over the next few years?

The house is and has been since the Republicans took over a complete clusterfuck. He leads a coalition of the stupid, the grifter and the insane stupid grifter. Their party has no new ideas and is basically still trying to turn America back to the 1880s. Yet to pass a budget, a tax code and other spending measures we need somehow to convince the jelly brained idiots that they need to do their job. We are talking about a group of people that found it in their collective hearts to cut Meals On Wheels but not tax cuts to millionaires. We are taxing at an insanely low rate of our GDP. There is no sane reason not to increases taxes, particularly since they seem totally interested in funding no stop war. These people are clearly not suitable for the job they pretend to be doing.

Based on that there is no reason to expect a grand bargain when these people have failed to produce a grand bargain over and over again. Most likely some small fraction of Republicans will gather with the minority Democrats and pass a bunch of small measures that kick all the hard decisions down the road further, because that is the only decision this congress has ever been able to make. We will likely see a tax increase, some token budget cuts and a lot of crying.

It has been 2 years of watching this Republican house and all I can say is "Why the fuck do people vote Republican? What thing have they done that is suppose to impress me into thinking they are a legitimate political party?" I weep for Republican voter because if this is what they are voting for, their life and self esteem must really suck.

and/or are too arrogant to hide their party's objective.
To fix a problem you must admit that it exists. Either of them would further expose the modern Teapublican party as "the threat from within".
This might cause saner members (if any are left) of the old republican party to re think things.
