(6,960 posts)Some guns are designed to kill a lot of people real fast.
And there are accessories for some guns that are designed to make them kill a lot more people even faster.
Those are the guns and accessories that should be banned.
It seems pretty simple to me.

(135,841 posts)you're advocating for semi and automatic weapons so you can have matches with them.

(2,163 posts)It's starts with people calling for an AWB , then a ban on all semi autos , then some call
for a complete gun confiscation.
Instead of working for a solution you say things that aren't going to happen.
That's why you lose

(154,021 posts)In the current environment it will go nowhere, but it would be a rational part of the solution.
You can own it...and I realize how muck of a PITA it would be.
In the current environment it will go nowhere. In the current environment making extended clips ain't gonna work either.
Full confiscation is fringe, but more guns is the solution should be as fringe.

(2,163 posts)and making the back ground check the same as owning a class 3
by doing that no more private sales and a record of every gun owned

I'm so glad that they are now at least willing to come out and say it out loud.

(154,021 posts)You take a bolt action rifle and I take the AR.
Let me see
1 perfectly good round for hunting a second, versus six rounds a second.

(154,021 posts)Nice isn't it?
Some of us are not cowed by the talking point NRA pollies running around. At least they are not begy birds, like the two conures at home.

(184 posts)Even IF you pull it off you're unlikely to hit much what you're aiming at.

(154,021 posts)And I know of one shooter who does regularly at the range.
In fact, know more than a few...not me by the way.
As I said, some of us are all but cowed.

(184 posts)Ill take the bolt action. Non-lethal ammo of course. Starting from different unknown points?

(10,164 posts)...which I'd take depends on a few factors. if it's open country and my choice of caliber? Give me the bolt gun over the AR any day of the week. Rapid fire means diddly-squat if I'm engaging from far outside the AR's genuinely effective range.
