Argentine woman marriage to twin sister's killer suspended

Argentine woman marriage to twin sister's killer suspended

A judge in Argentina has blocked the marriage between a 22-year-old woman and the man convicted of killing her twin sister in 2010.

Edith Casas insists Victor Cingolani did not murder her sister a model with whom he also had a relationship.

Cingolani was convicted of Johana Casas' murder and is serving 13 years in prison in the town of Pico Truncado.

The mother of the identical twins, Marcelina Orellana, says Edith Casas is "psychologically ill".

She filed a request for the wedding to be suspended.

Edith "is not in full control of her mental faculties and her physical and psychological well-being are in danger", said the mother's lawyer, Fabian Farias.
