If we arm mall security guards, future ones will go to individual stores. If we have armed security guards in every store, they will go to parks. And on, and on, and on.

In Two Drafts of the Virginia Constitution, Thomas Jefferson seeked to include this sentence: ""No freeman shall be debarred the use of arms (within his own lands or tenements)."

There are security guards everywhere in L.A. They aren't armed with guns, but still it makes everywhere feel like its a bad area. Banks everywhere there have bulletproof glass. It really doesn't make you feel so good if you've been living in smaller safer city metro areas.
