What is the NRA thinking?

I have heard what they had to say and talk about sounding paranoid! The picture they paint makes one think of some Doomsday scenario that is happing right now. I was expecting to hear a date for the rapture to be announced!

With people hurting and scared, they just added to it. Do they have a clue of what they are doing with that little "speech"?
What are they thinking?

If they accepted their responsibility they would get wiped out with wrongful death lawsuits.

...that, over the past week, they've polled their support among lawmakers, and determined that enough are with them through thick and thin that they can afford to go on the offensive here. I'm pretty sure that, if they thought their legislative support was ebbing, they'd have been much more conciliatory.

The crazy NRA members ramp up to the publics ramping up and go out and buy even more guns.
Pure marketing.
They are all about selling guns. Period.
