About LaPierre's claim of "4 million members" in the NRA...

Reporters might want to do some fact checking on Wayne LaPierre's claim that the NRA has 4 million members. Former NRA board member David Gross confessed that many NRA Life Members are, well, dead.

"There just isn't that much incentive to go find out when someone passes away," he said. "Now when the cost of maintaining [a dead member] is minimal and when they add to your membership list."

Maybe those "cold dead hands" are only holding their NRA card...

1. I'm sorry, but who cares? The issue at hand is not the membership of the NRA

if he is touting the membership numbers, he is on the losing end. He represents at most 2% of Americans and has great control over this subject. He should have NO standing-- but he does.
