What good news...Ed's just announced his wife is cured of breast cancer. How wonderful...

he was smiling and looked so happy. We have something in common...My son just reported yesterday that he's cured of Hodgskin Lymphoma. We both have so much to celebrate and be thankful for this Christmas.

But "cures" are often short-lived, I hope they maintain their vigilence and are doing some very proactive things to keep her in remission.

Great news that she is currently with "no active disease", but certainly premature to use the word cure. I sure do hope though that time proves his words correct.

Edit: to the OP, great news about the lymphoma, one of the cancers where chemo really can effect a cure, definitely a celebration!

when it comes to cancer - most especially the sneaky and aggressive ones like ovarian.

Celebrate to the HILLS when you are cancer-free - but remain vigilant, always.

a day in his life. He wasn't ready to go and I was so helpless. You don't expect your baby brother to go before you. My mom had him in late life. It was like another family. I still miss him.

This is a great reminder to be thankful that your loved ones are doing well as we enter the New Year and celebrate Christmas.

As a cancer survivor, I know there's always a possibility of recurrence. "Cured" is misleading, at least.
