Possible source of funding for mental health programs. How about a portion of every gun

purchase being earmarked toward funding mental health, like maybe 5%? I haven't seen this put forward, but it would probably be a pretty big chunk of change.

most gun nuts are not mentally ill, they are just willfully ignorant

3. There is a definite connection between mass murders with guns and mental health issues.

Seems to me a natural source of part of the funding it would take to help solve the horrid lack of mental health care in this country. At one time in Michigan, a portion of the fines in the courts went to support libraries. Don't know about now since Michigan has gone around the bend.
