Anonymous filed death certificate for Shirley Phelps-Roper (Westboro Baptist Church)
The hackers collective, Anonymous, has continued its battle with the Westboro Baptist Church, the home of the ‘God Hates Fags’ church, and claims to have changed the desktop background on its spokeswoman’s computer to gay porn.
Anonymous also said they had successfully filed a death certificate for Shirley Phelps-Roper, the outspoken representative of the church, which would prevent her from using her social security number, as well as updating her desktop to gay porn, Forbes reported.
Earlier this week, the hackers attacked the church’s website and begun posting the personal contact details of its main organisers after the church said it would picket the funerals of children murdered at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.
The “hacktivist” group released a video on 18 December which gives notice of their plans to attack the church, and that they had no intention of reasoning with it.

Ordinarily. But I can't muster up a speck of sympathy for the Westboro cult. When that vile group of scumbags desecrates the sacred burial of a loved one, based on a screwed-up interpretation of what (wo)mankind should ideally be, I have to give Anonymous a pass.

And if they had asked me, I probably would have said 'no'. Thankfully they didn't ask me. Some decisions are best left to others. 
I forgot to say, I love Anonymous.
They truly are the good guys.
And that Anonymous has the freedom to engage in electronic civil disobedience in response to that speech.
I wouldn't stop them from protesting but I wouldn't want anypony to stop Anonymous from doxing that ass, either.
I veer between pity for Westboro "members" and suspicion that they are cannibal trolls looking to get a rise out of people for profit, in which case we are feeding them with attention...
Members of the quasi-religious group, Westboro Baptist Church, planned to gather in Connecticut to protest the funeral of Newtown, Conn., shooting victim Principal Dawn Hochsprung. However, Good Samaritans were already there to thwart any possible protest with a human wall.
It's wonderful to see people taking a stand against these hateful fascist wackos.
