Call me a dreamer

I think the President and Boener actually like each other and are comfortable with each other. Let's not be too hard on Boener's hue and make him mad at us. I see him changing parties to be with the good guys and the President making him ambassador to some country where you could still smoke easier than here - a very difficult task finding that liberal country....

The best I can say about John Boehner is that he may be a little more moderate than he lets on, and that he's probably a lot more moderate than the Tea Party crazies in the House that he has to deal with. That's not saying much.

He's screwed the President over in so many ways on so many occasions it's hard to imagine there isn't some personal animosity there.

I don't see Boehner being anywhere close to changing parties. The most optimistic, dreamy thought I allow myself is that on occasion, like dealing with the fiscal curb (aka "cliff&quot he might, just might, work to pass a bill with a minority of Republicans and a majority of Democrats rather than trying to get a majority of Republicans.

If he does so, however, he'd stand a good chance of losing his speakership.
