My nephew works as a teacher

in one of the most dangerous gang- infested schools in NYC. They have very tight security within the school and there have been fist fights, but no school shootings. If you look at the pattern of school shootings, they mostly take place in suburban schools. Maybe the suburban schools should adopt the same security measures that have been implemented in the inner-city schools. They use metal detectors, and they also have security officers. Tons of weapons have been confiscated before they get inside of the school. My nephew has been threatened by both students and parents. He's been teaching for about three years. We need some smart passable gun control laws, but we also need good security within the schools.

Armed guards won't compensate or substitute responsible parenting, which is the cause of violence .
