But you have to realize that the nra is funded entirely by the membership and donations of its members. If people that care about aids, cancer, heart disease, autism, poverty and hunger could get 4 million people to join an organization devoted to each of those things mentioned you would see positive results.

They spent $19 million to defeat Obama in November, the members didn't give them that PLUS operating expenses from dues.

About 4 million members x $35.00 for yearly membership = 140 million dollars in just one year. More than enough to cover operating expenses + plenty left over.
