(9,841 posts)While it's great that the networks provide children's programming on Sunday mornings to try to get kids engaged in the political process, rather than exposing children to dumbed down accounts of important issues with the cartoonish characters they bring on as guests, I'd argue that kids should just watch stuff like Dora the Explorer and only start absorbing political ideas when they're old enough to process them in an intelligent fashion.

(13,615 posts)Merely appearing "on TV" gives the implication to many that whatever the person says is somehow "important" and worthy of consideration. But NBC has ad space to sell, so they'll go with the freak show every time.

(13,877 posts)He's becoming our Osama bin Laden and yes, he's a bad man...but at what cost? He should not be on meet the Press. He should not be elevated to the level of our entire nation having to hear the garbage he continues to sell. It will likely egg on more of the loony, lone nuts, I fear.
