ABC This Week
This Sunday, "This Week" covers the renewed debate over gun violence, the latest setback in the fiscal cliff stalemate, and Sen. John Kerry's nomination as secretary of state.

One week after 20 children and 6 adults were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, the nation is searching for answers on how to prevent future violence. But following the NRA's defiant press conference Friday, can supporters and opponents of gun control find any middle ground on measures aimed at reducing gun violence? Will President Obama's new task force produce tangible results in the coming weeks?

Former congressman and DEA Administrator Asa Hutchinson, the head of the NRA's National School Shield Program speak to George Stephanopoulos, Sunday on "This Week."

Then, following House Speaker John Boehner's stinging failure to win Republican backing for his "Plan B" option, the stalemated fiscal cliff talks seem more uncertain than ever. As Congress leaves Washington for the Christmas holiday, is there any path forward to salvage a deal to avoid the fiscal cliff? How would failure to reach a compromise impact the fragile economy? And can Democrats and Republicans in Washington come together in the new year on efforts to reduce gun violence?

George Stephanopoulos speaks to Sen. Johnny Isakson and Sen. Amy Klobuchar on the latest on the fiscal cliff talks and the debate over gun violence, only on "This Week."

Oh, surprise... Peggy Noonan is back....
