I mean, I hate my body most days. But especially this morning. I was up early to get ready to go to our local protest. Then I started to get the flashes in my eyes that indicate an impending migraine. Dammit! So, I took my medicine and went back to sleep. I'll have to see if there's a later protest in my area.

(57,817 posts)Nothing good ever comes of hating your body. Nothing good for you, nothing good for your body, nothing good for people around you. Hate is toxic and body hate is especially toxic.

(534 posts)It really zaps your enthusiasm. I'm having a bout of bronchitis and have to stand straight up to brush my teeth, otherwise I can't breathe. Not a pleasant or pristine ordeal LOL
Hang in there. Something tells me there are going to be lots more protests in the coming months.

(32,924 posts)Then I went to see a neuroologist who told me that magnesium
and Vitamin B@ (riboflavin) help with those.
So ever since I added those supplements to my diet, I hardly
ever have them.
Also, when I do get one, it only lasts about 5 or 10 minutes
since I take 600 mg of Motrin, and that helps too.

(12,656 posts)There will be plenty of other protests.
I am sitting here feeling off and tired, had medical procedure Thursday that doc didn't fully prepare me for. I thought I would be fine in a few days, then come to find out from a forum on Reddit the procedure I had takes 3-4 weeks to fully heal and you can be tired for 1-3 of them.
Just taking a short walk makes me feel awful and I am use to walking miles daily with my dog, doing short hikes, yoga, etc
The resting doing nothing is driving me crazy.
But that said I have to listen to my body and it is telling me like yours to stop, even if we hate that..

(6,071 posts)They'd happen every few months or so. For those not familiar with them, a spot would appear in my field of vision, so I'd blink repeatedly and if it didn't go away, I knew I was in trouble and I could go ahead and write off the next few hours. I likened it to a spinning diamond, and it would grow and take up a good bit of my field of vision. At its peak, I'd feel an intense wave of nausea. Once I got sick, the "diamond" would go away and I'd suddenly feel better. For some strange reason, I'd have a ravenous appetite afterward.
Fortunately, mine ended after my teen years. I hope you find some relief.

(52,604 posts)would probably "grow out of them" when I hit menopause and that was true. Something to look forward to??? Oddly, every so often - about twice a year - I still get the aura experience, but without the pain. Weird. Hope you feel better.

(12,135 posts)In time to do the 4-6 PM protest in Bowie, MD. I sat in the shade with a big sun hat and my sign that said, "IS HE DEAD YET?"
