CNN and MSNBC are actually covering the protests there. But it also seems that he is getting the "star" treatment from the royals. King Charles has rolled out the red carpet and then some. Three marching bands, a carriage ride, lots of pomp. CNN even said his welcome from Charles was more than what is usually given a US President.
Just wondering why, if he is extremely unpopular among the people, the royals feel they need to do more than the minimum. They are also keeping him away from the protests so his feelings don't get hurt.

Yes, he's unpopular, with all voters except Farage's Reform company: https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/53001-how-do-britons-feel-about-the-2025-trump-state-visit
He is more disliked than any other non-UK politican apart from Putin and Kim Jong Un: https://yougov.co.uk/ratings/politics/popularity/foreign-politicians/all (that lists 'popularity', but if you click on each, you also get a 'disliked' figure - to get to Trump's 70%, you have to be well known. Xi Jinping has a slightly lower Popularity figure, but much lower 'disliked', with quite a few having not heard of him (!)).
Another poll:
Impact of Trump's presidency on British interests: 43% of Britons believe that President Trump's actions negatively impact British interests (20% say positive), rising to 55% among those aged 55 and over. Those aged 16-34 are split, with 31% each believing that his actions have had a negative and positive impact.
