This video does a good job of demonstrating how the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk DID have the assembled rifle when

he jumped off of the roof. This individual's efforts changed my mind entirely. I was so fixated upon how it would take too long after firing the shot to breakdown a Mauser 98 that I dismissed the possibility that he didn't but still had the rifle on his person. Once you see this video you truly will have your eyes opened and discover that what we thought was so wasn't and clearly see the dark towel with sufficient protrusion and length (some inches of barrel sticking out are not seen due to viewpoint and camera issues) carried by the suspect as he jumps:

All along I couldn’t understand why some people were saying that they couldn't see him carrying anything. I wondered if there was more than one video.

One additional question that I have is about the scope. Why was the shooter confident enough that the scope was not jolted out of alignment? One possibility is that the guy down by Kirk, the one in white holding the phone, was using a targeting app on the phone which could have been connected to Kirk's phone.

Also Kirk was wearing a bullet-proof plate under his shirt and it looks like the bullet may have glanced off the plate and struck him in the neck.

not have a plate on his chest. Also, the freeze-frame of the moment of shot impact shows a clean entry wound and not a keyhole or fragmentation ricochet. His shirt flew up because of the vacuum created by the bullets passage (it was a loose, light, shirt) and not from being struck.
