A reminder to anyone in Virginia: EARLY VOTING STARTS TODAY

Early voting starts today in every Virginia locality.

Remember: We in Virginia have the opportunity to kick the shit out of Republicans statewide and nationally by electing DEMOCRATS as Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, members of the House of Delegates, and many local offices.

Details will vary slightly from locality to locality, but, here are the dates:

EARLY VOTING:
-- Monday through Friday, 8/8:30/9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Most localities schedule voting 8 to 5 with a few having later starting times.
-- Saturday, Oct 25 and Saturday, Nov 1, 9 to 5 in all localities
-- LAST DAY OF EARLY VOTING IS SATURDAY, NOV 1, 8 - 5 IN ALL LOCALITIES.

ELECTION DAY:
Tuesday, Nov 4; 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM

CANDIDATES.
-- Candidates for Governor, Lt Governor, Attorney General, and member of House of Delegates will have a D or R by their name, indicating DEMOCRAT or REPUBLICAN -- VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRAT
-- GOVERNOR: Abigal Spanberger
-- LT GOV: Ghazala F. Hashmi
-- ATTY GEN: Jay C. Jones
-- MEMBER HOUSE OF DELEGATES: Vote for the candidate with a D next to their name.

-- Constitutional offices (Sheriff, Clerk of the Court, Treasurer, Commissioner of Revenue) do not have a party designation. You know these people.
-- Local governing bodies (Town or City Council; County Board of Supervisors; School Board) do not have a party designation. You know these people, vote for the one you know.

IMPORTANT: Check with your local General Registrar's office for locations. In many smaller localities, there is only one early voting location which is closed on Election Day; on Election Day, vote at your usual precinct. For example, in my small locality, Early Voting is at the Registrar's office while Election Day voting is at the six precincts around the town.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE THAT WE ELECT DEMOCRATS TO GOV, LT GOV, ATTY GEN, AND HOUSE OF DELEGATES for two reasons:
1. Get the hell rid of Youngkin, Sears, and Miyares. Send a message to national Republicans that Virginia has had enough.
2. Put Democrats in office statewide and locally so we can start to clean up the last four years of Republicans screwing with us.

ID is required to vote -- VA Driver's License is most common; government-issued ID cards with photo; other IDs are listed at the polling place. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ID, you can sign a statement attesting that you are who you say you are and vote.

Remember: The people working at the polls are VOLUNTERS who are paid a pittance to help you vote -- they are at the polls for long hours and it's not unusual for them to take a ration of shit from Republican voters -- be polite to them, they are your neighbors.
