Former Disney CEO Eisner backs Jimmy Kimmel, blasts FCC 'intimidation' of ABC

Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner on Friday issued a statement supporting Jimmy Kimmel, whose late-night show has been suspended indefinitely by Disney’s subsidiary ABC for comments about the killing of Charlie Kirk.

Eisner, in a tweet, blasted FCC Chairman Brendan Carr for “out-of-control intimidation” of ABC and Disney in the hours before the network said it was yanking “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” off the air on Wednesday night.

“Where has all the leadership gone?” asked Eisner.

Is the current CEO contacted him and said look I can’t say this you say it for me and it’ll make us look better or something.

Doesn’t actually make them look better I guess so my theories probably wrong but what we needed to realize a long time ago and some of us did was that all corporations will eventually bend to him, all media all everything including medicine and science.
What Kennedy alone is doing to this country will kill many of us on this board right now, that is not even a slight exaggeration.

...what would be on it for Eisner?
He's an 83 year old guy with $4 billion. He only has about a half-percent of Disney.
If it goes down in value 50% (it won't), he still only loses $10 million.
So, I don't see how he gets anything from being Iger's surrogate.

I can see Abigail Disney and other shareholders asking him to say something, but doubtful Bob Iger or Josh D'Amaro contacted him for help.
