Big Pharma vs Big Supplement.

Tried to find this on YouTube but nothing came up.

He points out that supplements are not well regulated like big pharma is.

that pretty much everything that comes out of big pharma always has all kinds of warnings/disclaimers that include "even death". I've been supplementing since 1982 and am healthier than anyone I know, ages 40's to 70's. I'm 76 and my only prescription is for thyroid. All of my health care providers over the years have never had any problem with what I've been taking. So, for me, any naysayers professional or otherwise can blow it out their asses. The End.

These among hundreds if not thousands of others pushing BS supplements over science backed cures are a menace to society. They are regular attackers of science backed data. Do you take their supplements? If so then I would refer you to Quacwatch.

Your anecdotal mention of your own health is not a study and not science. That being said, I take supplements too but I take science backed supplements. While I agree that supplements can be beneficial if they are science backed, I think you missed the entire point of the video.

There used to be a phrase that the first round of treatment would be counsling on diet and nutrition. Big medicine decided our diet and nutrition were so good and they should just ignore that part of the oath. I rarely watch broadcast tv and am shocked on how bad the potential adverse effects sound on most all of the newfangled moneymaking pharmaceuticals.

I was too young to be taking care of my own nutrition in the early 60's. I'm betting there wasn't any big announcement filling the public in on the big change. Disgusting. Thank 😊you for the info 🙏

...the degree pharmaceuticals are.
They are regulated with regard to labeling & associated contents. They are regulated on the "harm" side, but barely so when it comes to claims.
I worked a bit on neutraceuticals. Those are somewhere in between.
It's been a bit Markey for a while.

I was a web developer for for a company that got in big trouble, but were allowed to stay in business. They sold dietary supplements and made all sorts of outrageous claims about them. That they cured diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure etc. etc. They came up with crazy drug sounding names for them like Cholestexin or Diamexol that made them sound like they must work. FDA shut them down and they re-emerged with less claims and more homeopathic medicines.

It was all total BS, they had zero science, no chemists or doctors worked there. It was just the owner literally watching YouTube videos and doing his own research. The labeling was just whatever they felt like putting on it as they were buying and reselling powders as is. Place was doing several $million in business a month at its peak.

So I got a first hand look at the BS and how it's all done. I ended up quitting as after I learned too much, I just couldn't morally continue. It was all a total scam. And it got worse when they went homeopathic where they were literally taking tap water and selling it for $40 an ounce. Owner was a big Conservative, just zero morals or sense of right and wrong. Made $millions selling people lies and hope.
