Arizona Attorney General's Office confirms lawsuit against House Speaker Johnson Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva

Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva has still not been sworn in four weeks after her win. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is suing House Speaker Mike Johnson, citing “taxation without representation.”
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes confirmed Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 21 that her office had filed a lawsuit against House Speaker Mike Johnson for not swearing in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva.

Southern Arizona voters chose Adelita Grijalva to succeed her father, the late U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva – who represented the state for more than 20 years in Congress.

“People are going to my dad's old office at El Pueblo Neighborhood Center, pulling on the door, and nobody's there,” Adelita Grijalva said.

“People are going to my dad's old office at El Pueblo Neighborhood Center, pulling on the door, and nobody's there,” Adelita Grijalva said.

Knowing this makes it even more poignant.

Hollywood should do a re-make. Ms. Grijalva Goes to Washington and can’t take office because 219 or so representatives in the House are protecting a crazy, demented pedophile president who is busy taking a wrecking ball to the White House.

What? You say the plot is too bizarre? Would never happen in real life?
