Is November typically a good time to start a big construction project?

It seems to me to be the absolute *worst* possible time, in terms of one, weather, and two, holidays.

Why the rush?

I suspect it's a way to launder money Trump has extorted from people whose names are in the Epstein files.

Trump can hide money easily, but many of his "donors" (blackmail targets) need a plausible reason to be giving him a lot of money.

I hope to live long enough to see this nation wipe every last trace of that revolting piece of shit from our sight. I mean having a truth and reconciliation level de-Trumpification of this country.

The Epstein files are around the corner. Once they're released, the damage to the White House will be the last straw for the 37% that support him.

Circulating a photo of the White House with the Trump sign on the top.

I have a theory about laughing under duress. I think those who have suffered trauma should use it to help them overcome their trauma. But, unfortunately, scoundrels use it too to avoid accepting responsibility for the damage they do.

All they seem to care about is "owning the libs" so anything Trump does is fine with them.

I believe there is no administration-threatening panacea to be had in any Epstein Files release at this time, because Trump directly controls whatever is going to be released. There is no way any Epstein Files release will include incriminating stuff about Dear Leader while he is POTUS and the DoJ is under his thumb. Not to mention, if there was any iron-clad evidence about serious IQ47 misdeeds in those files, it would have leaked. Also, I believe SOME victim or witness would have publicly said something about his involvement by now.

The sole progenitor of the "Epstein was passing victims around to his rich friends" conspiracy theory, the late Virginia Guiffre, specifically testified she knew nothing of any Trump misdeeds around Epstein, never saw him or heard from others he was at the estate at the time. And even she said she didn't know of any other victims being abused by anyone other than JE/VG at their behest, only herself

If we wanted these files released, we should have lobbied for it to happened immediately after Maxwell's 2022 trial, or in the future if Dem's are ever allowed to take back the White House. Now is not the time. The Epstein Files if released under IQ47 will be Fitzmas, Russiagate, and the Steele Dossier rolled up into one colossal nothing-burger, and we will collectively look like fools, hollering about cover-ups like JFK and 9/11 conspiracy theorists.

As I've often shared, I think what he's scared about is that he tried to blackmail Epstein over his teen-f***ing because Epstein knew he was laundering money for the Russians. I think that is what that birthday card was. A thinly veiled blackmail threat, i.e. you keep my secrets, and I'll keep yours. I think he was relieved when it came out and nobody picked up on what it really was because they're so caught up in the pedo-Trump mindset.

MHO, fwiw.

Edit: One more thing is that I think Maxwell knows exactly what that birthday note was actually meant to convey. Which is why she was transferred to cushy digs right around the time it was released to the public. Epstein knew Orangina was laundering Russian money in Florida in the early 2000's, and therefore so does Maxwell.

Edit 2: I think that b-day note, released by Murdoch's rag, don't forget, was a textbook "limited hangout".

Phone conversation to person with wealth and/or power:

"Listen, we found your name in the Epstein files. I know, I know. You had nothing to do with him. The Democrats probably put your name in here. But listen, I'm under a lot of pressure to release these files...I know. I wonder if we could come to an agreement. I've got this big beautiful ballroom I'm building for the American people. Yeah, people have been begging me for this, with tears in their eyes. I can make it happen. Could you donate, I don't know, a couple hundred million and/or make sure the government stays shut down and/or give Jared some more money and/or put some pressure on Zelensky...."

With these people the simplest answer is usually what's going on. Trump has always grifted, blackmailed, and laundered money.

I've been in online conversations with some Trump supporters. They think the ballroom is a wonderful "gift to the American people" and they claim to believe that Obama did worse. They think Obama constructed a $500m indoor basketball court, for instance.

It's actually appalling what Trump supporters believe. The opposite of the truth in every possible way.

It isn't about getting the ballroom up, it was about tearing the east wing down. Remember the trash bags being thrown from a window, and the threat not long after that to do irreversible things?

Tearing it down when there was even less chance than usual that someone would stop him was always the plan.

Sculptures, paintings, furniture - beautiful historic objects that represent our nation's history.

He's probably sold or traded them for money and favors. He stole top secret documents and got away with it. Why would he hesitate to steal a Remington statue?
