most hurricanes blow thru in 6 hrs or so but this one looks like it will create full on hurricane conditions for DAYS in Jamaica. Not good...

(63,310 posts)Can't depend on the Us Gov't these days. Normally, a carrier in the area would be dispatched for search and rescue and other tasks, but will trump allow that? I'm ashamed of what he's doing to our country.

(5,877 posts)declaration for N Carolina (12 homes collapsed into the Atlantic -- plus steady flooding -- on top of Hurricane Helene recovery still ongoing). Can't imagine he would leap at the opportunity to help Jamaica.
We'll have to step up as much as possible.
