ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. A dispute over an anti-Obama bumper sticker sparked a fight that ended with a veteran being pinned to the ground at gunpoint, according to police.
Albuquerque police said Chris Williams was approached by Edward Rodriguez in a restaurant parking lot on Friday.
Rodriguez, a veteran, was upset with the content of Williamss bumper sticker which claimed that America made a big mistake re-electing President Barack Obama. Rodriguez told police that he wasnt interested in discussing politics and told Williams, "People like you should be shot," according to police.
After a brief shoving match, police said Williams drew a .380 pistol and forced Rodriguez to the ground. Williams claimed he was restraining Rodriguez until the police arrived.
According to the criminal complaint, Williams said he feared for his life because he believed Rodriguez had a knife and access to a gun. However police said they found no weapons in the area other than Williams.

That is perilously close to a threat, and I don't care for people, even veterans, who threaten others for expressing their free speech. Having served our country in combat does not give you that right.
