(12,925 posts)And now I am thinking my day will be spent in the airport after pilots and controllers call in sick.
I picked flying on the holiday because flight was $200 less. Retired here. If there are no storms and snow I can drive over the pass just don't like to in winter.

(45,530 posts)after a month in Europe. We were very concerned about delays because of the shutdown. Fortunately for us, we had no problems.

(33,009 posts)to Raleigh/Durham on a direct flight. No problem. It's the connecting flights that are hit or miss, mostly delayed.

(28,298 posts)I was lucky. Flew from San Francisco to New York and back with no delays going through security or departure. But I dont see that holding.
TSA in San Francisco is private so security isnt affected by the shutdown. Cant imagine how much longer the air traffic controllers will put up with this shit, though.
