The only way the SOTH becomes president is if both Prez and VP leave simultaneously.
If Prez leaves Veep moves up and nominates a new Veep, Senate confirmation ensues. If Veep leaves, same thing, nomination/confirmation.

Harris could become President but is unlikely in the extreme. There would need to be an agreement among both parties. In my fantastical scenario, say TSF is found to have cheated and Harris really won. Let’s then say the public outcry is sufficient for a change to Harris is required. Prez resigns, Veep becomes Prez and nominates Harris as Veep after pre-agreed confirmation. Then Veep resigns and Harris becomes Prez, who then nominates Walz, confirmation. Bingo.

1. You’re assuming there is a scintilla of a chance that either Trump or Vance could get convicted in the Senate
2. You’re assuming both would be convicted and removed simultaneously, which is the only way the speaker would assume the presidency in the middle of a term.

You made numerous other unrealistic assumptions, but those are the two big ones.

I dream of the day Dems have the trifecta again, the senate kills the filibuster, expands the court, and rams through bill after bill repairing the damage of the Trump era and protecting the rights and the wellbeing of the people.

It can only happen if we elect senators who are willing to kill the filibuster and expand the court.
