Hang on to your hats...

This may be the wildest ride internally since the Civil War. It transcends even the OJ Simpson case which had EVERYTHING: murder, sex, exquisite-looking people, police corruption, celebrity clients, attorneys, and witnesses, mystery, Los Angeles as a venue, and incredible crime scene technology, to name just a few. This has the potential to blow the lid off every aspect of American hierarchy in politics, academia, corporate, and millionaire/billionaire class, again, to name just a few.

This could change the landscape of the contemporary American Experience. Eventually, this will all be revealed.

I hope and pray.

The OJ trial was the one of the most significant American issues which overtook the nation. It overshadowed every other bit of news at the time.

This list of perpetrators if/when released may eclipse that in terms of impact.

"A history of racial injustice in this country" have to do with "a murderous wife-beating bastard got away with murder?"

I said that white people were strangely obsessed with the case. It was beyond the Super Bowl, beyond the moon landing, beyond election nights. Day after day hour after hour people were glued to the TV, cheering and booing every move in the court room. Bars and coffee houses were standing room only. People wanted to be part of a howling mob while they watched it, I guess. Many are still obsessed.

They will have left anything that points to Democrats being involved. I also don't think they are above planting phony evidence.

I know I am being a pessimist, but I have seen so many headlines since the whole tsf nightmare began, saying he's done, yet he's still standing, and taking a wrecking ball to the country.

Because they do not know who else out there has corroborating evidence that would expose any criminal attempt to destroy or alter any evidence that is in the possession of the DOJ. It is also very likely that FBI whistleblowers, particularly those who lost their jobs, would come forward and expose any alteration of the Epstein files.

is the money laundering and back door financing that Epstein brokered. Shady connections with Putin. Suspicious money transferring after Epstein died. Epstein was worth billions, and had no source of income, but money "given" to him. Blackmail? This is the part the GOP is afraid to let see the light. I am sure that the money shenanigans will include big GOP donors and groups, like the Heritage Foundation, Turning Point, etc.

I think the Child trafficking and international pedo ring is a part of it, and overlaps with his finances.

Will Trump be set up as a scapegoat, to direct attention away from this? He may, but Trump will take the whole house down with him, if he goes..

about the trafficking and money angles, but I think many are thinkng too small in scope. We're not criminals or psychopaths. I think we have to stretch into huge mob industries... real estate, gambling, and even drugs. What would it do if we find out part of Epsteins and trumps business was drug trafficking, especially after bombing innocents on the same charge in so many different countries. Trump could start WWIII without even trying just due to international outrage. And if vsnce pardons him or we switch back to our old form of legal process, not only would we be on the brink of rioting but I think so it would be internationally, too.

When dumpster fire directed Bondi to open an investigation to Democrats in the files, that was the clue. She opens those investigations and the House and Senate at large can be denied ALL access to the files. The House Oversight Committee and Senate Judiciary (I believe those are the relevant committees) can still subpoena files but the DoJ can deny any files they deem too sensitive to share due to the investigations. So DoJ can provide some files, hold back others and they don't even have to tell the committees that the withheld files exist!!!

The cherry on the top for dumpster fire is DoJ can release files that pertain to his enemies and not release those related to his allies. The Qanon crowd will eat it up: "We told you it was Democrats in those files. That's why Biden wouldn't release them!!"

Of the Whigs, but they just keep churning. Eventually I see them splitting into several factions. Some of these will coalesce into real parties aligned on a republican spectrum.

Unfortunately I can see the same happening in the Democratic party too. Maybe not as many factions, but the split between FDR Dems, Progressives and New Way Centrist democrats is just as toxic to us. And I think after the last 10 years people have had enough of the moneyed elite controlling everything.

It won't happen right away but I believe politics is in for a huge rewrite here. Like... an updated more clearly written constitution and smaller political parties representing more of their constituents interests. I don't think we'll morph into a parliament but even that wouldn't surprise me. We stand on the precipice of something exciting, once we can finish dredging up all the corruption and truly draining the swamp. I would love to be here to see it but I have a feeling it'll be after my time.

The fly in the ointment, for me, are the magas. How do we handle them... work with... them. We can't just let them go back underground again. That just assures they'll rise again once they reorganize. Somehow we have to raise them up past their racism misogyny and hate and make them good world citizens. Transforming govt will be a snap compared to that!

And who knows, the blowback may indeed transform the adoration of wealth and power so many have held onto into a recognition of the magnitude with which such accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few corrupts our entire society -- accumulation that must be ENDED with inheritance tax, wealth tax, progressive tax on income, all to fund a program that would benefit ALL. For example, Piketty's Inheritance for All.

As we reverse the flow of dollars from the hands of the many to the hands of the few, we must advocate for a tangible benefit for all. And I think Piketty's Inheritance for All is a tangible benefit that we need to start advocating for now. That would put us on the path to achieving it -- or something even better -- before the youth of today are our age.

https://time.com/7334450/epstein-files-released-trump-massie/

After months of insisting that the Epstein files were a “hoax” and his Department of Justice (DOJ) closing its investigation into the case, Trump ordered a new probe last week into several of his political opponents for their links to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

But legal experts and some key figures pushing for the release of the files have questioned the sudden about-turn, suggesting that Trump may be using the new DOJ investigation to block any further releases.

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, the key driver behind the push to force a vote in the House of Representatives to release the files, suggested the investigation may be a “smokescreen” and a “last-ditch effort to prevent the release of the Epstein files.”

“If they have ongoing investigations in certain areas, those documents can’t be released,” Massie said Sunday.

There's something in the files Trump doesn't want made public and there's no way in hell he decided overnight to allow it to become public. It's just not in his nature. He's got a plan that will likely keep exclusions in the courts for the remainder of his term. 2¢

I’ve given up on the idea that he’s ever brought to justice. The fix is in. Either they have scrubbed the files completely, or they are going to be so redacted they will be worthless. They’re going to claim that ongoing cases make it impossible for them to release everything.

Mike Johnson says he’s “deeply disappointed” the Senate passed the Epstein files bill without changes.

He says he spoke to Trump tonight, and they both “have concerns”

If two impeachments, Russian appeasement, failing a response to a global pandemic, Jan. 6, refusing to concede a presidential race he so badly lost, the invasion of our own cities, and the arrest and detainment of innocent American citizens didn’t move the needle much… I’d temper those expectations.

The full, unredacted files will never see the light of day as long as trump is alive.

It sucks, but the delay tactics will go on for years, and anything ultimately released will be scrubbed and doctored. trump’s name will be replaced by any number of names it hates.

Release the Epstein files, then get rid of the ‘Epstein class’

* Democrats released emails raising questions about Trump’s knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

* President Trump does not want us to read the Epstein files.

We are being ruled by the “Epstein class,” and voters deserve to know the details of that particular scandal, and to be able to expect better of their leaders in the larger sense.

That’s the message we’ll be hearing a lot in the coming weeks and months now that Democrats have successfully moved forward their effort to release the full investigation into former President Trump buddy Jeffrey Epstein.

“When you take a step back, you have a country where an elite governing class has gotten away with impunity, and shafted the working class in this country, shafted factory towns, shafted rural communities,” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Fremont) told me Wednesday.

Snip…

How appropriately strange for these days would it be if Epstein, who faced sex trafficking charges at the time of his death, provided the uniting message Democrats have been searching for?

“Epstein and economics” sounds like a stretch on the surface, but it is increasingly clear that Americans of all political stripes are tired of the rich getting richer, and bolder. The Epstein files are the bipartisan embodiment of that discontent.
