Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is signaling that she will not support a primary challenge to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) in next years race.
Chi Ossé, a member of the New York City Council and a democratic socialist, filed paperwork on Monday to run against Jeffries in the Empire States 8th Congressional District.
I certainly dont think a primary challenge to the leader is a good thing right now, Ocasio-Cortez told Axios on Monday.
The Hill has reached out to a spokesperson for Ossé for comment.
