Trump called a female reporter Miss Piggy.

She was pressing him about his BFF Epstein on Air Force One. You know I rarely swear and spell out swear words but if that morbidly obese septuagenarian called a female that in my presence I would have said "F --k you, you old fat b-----d." And why am I just learning about it now? In the immortal words from Jo Jo Dancer "F--k him and anyone who looks like him."

This happened Friday and it was all over the news and board yesterday. The NY Times finally came around to publishing a story on it.

It's actually worse, since she asked a question about the Epstein files, and he pointed in her face and said "Quiet, quiet, piggy."

The White House is standing by an insult President Donald Trump hurled at a female reporter.

The White House is not retreating from the intense backlash to President Donald Trump’s disparaging insult of a female reporter.

Trump, 79, drew outrage when he snapped at Bloomberg White House correspondent Catherine Lucey for asking him a question about the notorious Jeffrey Epstein files on Friday.

“If there’s nothing incriminating in the files, sir, why not—” Lucey began to say as the president took questions aboard Air Force One.

Before she could finish, however, Trump pointed his finger at her and barked, “Quiet! Quiet, piggy.”

The remark was roundly blasted as “disgusting” in a torrent of criticism, including from CNN anchor Jake Tapper and former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson, but the White House seems unfazed.

“This reporter behaved in an inappropriate and unprofessional way toward her colleagues on the plane. If you’re going to give it, you have to be able to take,” a White House official told the Daily Beast.......

The testy exchanges are par for the course for Trump, who has a long history of hurling demeaning insults at women.

In 2017, The New York Times columnist Gail Collins recalled that Trump had sent her copies of her columns that he disliked, calling her a “dog and a liar” with “the face of a pig.”

In 2016, Latina beauty queen Alicia Machado, who won the Miss Universe title at age 19 when Trump co-owned the organization, recounted how he would call her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping.”

When it comes to mistreating women, the president is who he appears to be.

A year later, the carnival continues. My MS NOW colleague Clarissa-Jan Lim reported on what happened when a female reporter pressed the president on his Jeffrey Epstein ties. From the report:

During a press gaggle on Air Force One on Friday, the reporter asked the president about one of the emails Epstein wrote about him that Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released last week. When she tried to follow up with a question about potentially incriminating details in the Epstein files, Trump pointed and said, “Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.”

The White House made no effort to deny the accuracy of the quote, which was captured on video, telling MS NOW in a statement that the president’s target deserved the rebuke after engaging in “inappropriate and unprofessional” conduct......

Complicating matters, however, is the familiarity of the circumstances. Meidas News’ Ron Filipkowski put together a video montage that highlights examples of Trump insulting, berating, demeaning and attacking female reporters — just over the past few months.

There were so many examples that Filipkowski soon after released a sequel.

Trump is, in other words, exactly who he appears to be. He’s the man in the E. Jean Carroll case. He’s the one on the “Access Hollywood” recording. He’s the Republican who suggested some of the women who’ve accused him of sexual misconduct weren’t attractive enough to attack. He’s the politician who vowed to “protect” women from the White House “whether the women like it or not.”

He’s also the one who didn’t hesitate to shut down a reporter asking a reasonable question by calling her “piggy.
