I get it. Thirty Eight Percent. For anyone else, disaster. But look at THIS WEEK. For Trump to have a THIRTY EIGHT PERCENT APPROVAL rating tells as sad of a fucking story about AMERICA as ANYONE could tell. And, you know what this means. Karoline Leavitt is about 5 minutes away from tweeting that Trump has the highest approval ratings of any president since Jesus.
Trumps disastrous handling of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and the cost-of-living crisis has seen his approval ratings dip to just 38 percent, the lowest since his return to power.
Trumps popularity with Republicans, once considered untouchable, has also started to wane, dropping from 87 percent to 82 percent as the presidents growing alienation from his base has seen cracks begin to form in the MAGA coalition.
Polling data from Ipsos/Reuters shows a steady slump in the presidents popularity since his return to office, dropping nine points from his high of 47 percent in January to come almost level with Joe Bidens all-time low of 35 percent.

(8,377 posts)2. I've been seeing 38% in poll after poll for months
When it gets below 35% I'll start taking notice.

(20,134 posts)7. There was one recently that had him at 36.
It was discussed here. People need to realize its never going to zero and adjust expectations accordingly. If the bottom really falls out it could be mid to low 20s, like with W. But were not there yet.

(474 posts)3. I don't believe the numbers
Unfortunately not due to his fascism and all the other fucked up things, but grocery prices
Remember the overperformance of dems in the recent elections

(193,986 posts)4. Can't find it but I did see a X post about how he is the most popular POTUS in this stage of their second term EVER
It was either Baghdad Barbie or the White House account

(21,017 posts)5. I believe that one was Leavitt
And the only reason I'm not suggesting that we saw the same Tweet is that she's done it more than once. As a matter of fact, it may have even been the W.H. re-tweeting Leavitt, or vice-versa.
