Witkoff leaks source behind US-Russia peace plan for Ukraine

US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff wrote on X that journalists may have received information about the US peace plan regarding Ukraine and Russia from a person named “K,” according to a post by Axios journalist Barak Ravid on X.

A few minutes later, a comment from Steve Witkoff appeared under the post: “He must have got this from K.”

It is likely that Witkoff confused private messages and accidentally posted this information publicly.

This was suggested by another American journalist, Michael Weiss, who also wrote about it on X:

“Almost certainly this refers to Kirill Dmitriev, who is quoted in the story. But it seems the Russian side is leaking this for a reason. Also seems Dim Philby doesn't know how Twitter works, but is nonetheless confident of his ability to end the war,” the journalist wrote.
