(37,364 posts)For the gun to be secured so that children would not be able to get hold of it and hurt themselves or someone else would make it difficult to get to in a crisis situation. I just don't think that a teacher should be carrying a weapon.

Even Crystal Ball on the TV said she thinks it's good we have this love of guns, cuz she represented a rural district.
I think it's time for a CHANGE

(46,179 posts)I live in a rural community where gun ownership is commonplace, and my students already know how to use them.
Thankfully, nobody has suggested that we arm local teachers.
If it happens, I'll refuse.
