Trump was never, never NEVER going to be "the wind in Elise Stefanik's wings."

A few reasons I can think of, none of them worth going into, because beyond the fact that he threw a wrench into her campaign today (which I think is great), I don't care beyond that. I think we all knew someone like her in school, and we didn't like her. That seems to be the way Trump has routinely treated her, which doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense, since he needs fealty like he needs oxygen. I just see her as "too needy," as if she wants something back for her groveling, and that NEVER plays well with Trump. Anyway, womp womp, Elise. Womp womp.

'Complete disaster': MAGA rages after Trump delivers 'devastating blow' to ally's campaign

“Trump just ended Elise Stefanik,” former federal prosecutor Ron Filipkowski wrote on X. “I so wish I could see her face right now. (First time I’ve ever said that).”

New Yorker Matt Castelli, a business executive and former CIA counterterrorism official, made clear how he thought the moment landed.

“This presser is a complete disaster for Elise Stefanik’s campaign of fear-mongering about Mamdani. She’s going to have to find a new boogeyman,” he wrote. Castelli followed up with: “Elise Stefanik spent nearly a decade selling her soul to Trump only for him to dump her as UN Ambassador and end her campaign for governor.”

Democratic commentator Kaivan Shroff summed it up with his own post: “The biggest loser of the Trump-Mamdani meeting is Elise Stefanik. And boy does she deserve it.”

is fine with me. The reptilian Stefanik deserves all the bad news that comes her way. Her campaign can’t sink fast enough as far as I’m concerned.

Marge, Elise, for starters. We’ll have to wait to see which other women will be next.

Pretty sure Lauren, Nancy and whoever else makes him mad. All those nasty women who fawned all over him are now just lost baggage, no one wants to claim.

today when I saw the Oval Office meeting between Mamdani and Trump.

I’m glad that it has severely cobbled Elise’s campaign as Governor. I’m one of her constituents. She is horrible. Bottom line, she has been a ghost in the district for years. Never has town halls. And recently when she was at some special ceremony which was not meant to be political, she was booed off the stage. It was pure Karma.

As much as I have been fine with Hochul, I really hope someone else like Antonio Delgado gets the nomination. She has been losing steam I think. And I fear that with enuf rural GOP support she could lose this time. Here’s hoping Elise has more trouble with her popularity and that NY State gets a really populist progressive Governor next term.

I know some will disagree, but we need to move forward. And Delgado certainly looks like he has the chops. Pair him with NYC Mayor Mamdani and we can really kick ass in this state.

I don't have a lot of patience for blue state governors that don't have a bold agenda. She's been functional, and she doesn't make waves. She has very little charisma.

I think that with Trump destroying Stefanik's campaign, and Mamdani's tacit endorsement of Hochul, she will likely win her primary. I further suspect that Hockul will find herself tacking a bit further left, and she will be more popular for it.

Stefanik though... what a thorough waste of a person. She sold her soul and all she got was humiliation. Turns out it might've been an equal exchange, given the value of Ms. Stefanik's soul.

Thanks for this analysis. And we shall see how it goes. I would be fine with Hochul if she gets the nomination. I think times are about to get verrrrry interesting politically speaking.

Happy Turkey day to you…
