MTG was never honest about changing. She's still a liar for Chump.

Parts of her resignation letter:

I've worked hard to bring tax payer dollars back home to help district needs, I impeached Biden's Secretary of Homeland after watching my constituents die as he facilitated the dangerous open border invasion into America, and led the effort to defund hard left politically biased NPR, PBS, and the corrupt USAID as the Chair of the DOGE Subcommittee.

I have fought harder than almost any other elected Republican to elect Donald Trump and Republicans to power, traveling the country for years, spending millions of my own money, missing precious time with my family that I can never get back, and showing up in places like outside the New York Courthouse in Collect Pond Park against a raging leftist mob as Trump faced Democrat lawfare. Meanwhile most of the Establishment Republicans, who secretly hate him and who stabbed him in the back and never defended him against anything, have all been welcomed in after the election.

She's cashing out and will be looking for more moola somewhere else. Her district had money and jobs coming in from Biden's IRA and Chumpy cut it all off. Yet does she blame HIM? No, she's still blaming the Dems.

Snake.

"Marjorie Taylor Greene's abrupt decision to resign from Congress is drawing scrutiny after it emerged that her chosen departure date falls just two days after her federal pension becomes fully vested...The timing places the 51-year-old Georgia Republican past the five-year service threshold required for lawmakers to qualify for lifetime pension benefits under federal rules...Greene announced Friday that she is leaving Congress and will step down on January 5, 2026." Serving for five years allows a former congressperson to qualify for the option to enroll in a government-subsidized health plan during retirement. Current members purchase health insurance plans through the DC Health Link marketplace to receive the government contribution toward their health plan. Members who retire and meet the five-year rule can continue their health coverage into retirement, selecting from the same plans offered to other federal annuitants, paying premiums, deductibles, and co-pays, just like other federal employees. The government typically covers about 72% to 75% of the premium cost, which is a standard employer contribution for federal workers.

'How much is Marjorie Taylor Greene worth? Net worth breakdown as MTG says she will resign Jan. 5'

"Reports like Quiver Quantitaplace have placed Greene's estimated net worth at $25 million as of October 2025...Her income comes from investments, business endeavors, and her congressional pay."

"Her publicly disclosed portfolio includes $3.2 million in individual stocks. Her primary source of wealth, however, remains a 50% stake in Taylor Commercial, Inc., a family-run construction business. According to her congressional financial disclosures, the company's worth is valued between $5 million and $25 million per Finance Monthly."

"Greene's base congressional salary is $174,000 annually, which is modest compared to her overall portfolio. According to Business Insider, Greene also earned $178,000 in book royalties in 2024 from her memoir MTG, bringing her to the list of Congress's top-earning authors."

"Greene has faced questions over her frequent trades. In April 2025, she reportedly bought shares in major companies like Amazon, Apple, Dell, Nike and Palantir, just before a 90-day tariff pause announced by Trump that significantly boosted markets, Yahoo Finance reported."

"According to the Daily Beast, she insists that her advisor, not she herself, makes investment decisions. She maintains that her wealth was built primarily before she entered Congress."

"However, the Norwegian Standard reported that Greene’s net worth was estimated to be just $700,000 before entering Congress in 2020...She claims that her multimillion-dollar net worth 'has not in any way come from politics.' "

Marge did well for herself during her brief 5-year congressional career, she'll likely continue making a lot of money from her "brand" in the future.

A few months ago she wrote “I am not suicidal and am one of the happiest healthiest people I know”

Who else recently said I am not suicidal? Tucker, Candace, Anna Kasperian, Kim Iverson -etc. It’s very dangerous out there. I read they upped to $10,000 per month (actually $50,000 for 4 months) for congress people’s security plus $20.000 for cameras & home security after Kirk’s murder, but this isn’t enough. When threats to AOC get high, she might need an additional 40 to 50 thousand a month. People are not going to want to run for office.

In terms of history we need to make sure that all of these people are labeled for what they did. They aided and abetted the only president in American history to launch an attack on the US Capitol. May that forever be their legacy.

It's still remarkable an impermissible to cross Trump on any issue and she's doing it. That make her a traitorous left wing moonbat to the MAGA crowd. Like Liz Cheney before her she has to pay the price.

I suspect MTG had an experience when she was young and empathizes with the Epstein victims.

One of the current Senators from Georgia is John Ossoff, Democrat, who was elected in 2020.

There were three candidates, none of whom earned a majority -- the Republican David Perdue had 49.7, Perdue 47.9, a third-part candidate had a few votes.

Ossoff beat Perdue in the runoff by a margin of 50.4 - 49.6.

Ossoff will be on the ballot in November 2026 and MTG plans to run for the Republican nomination so she can take on Ossoff.

I don't pay that much attention to Georgia politics, so, I don't know who the other Republican candidates may be.

Greene's attacks on Trump are an attempt to distance herself from him so he doesn't drag her down in Nov 2026.

Watching her dump Trump in favor of her own political future makes me wonder how many more Congressional Republicans will do the same -- Trump could find himself very lonely over the next few months as Congressional Republicans as well as Republicans in the states realize their future is not with him.

there might be a few issues they differ on with most others of the party.

Fetterman is a another one that people think changed but I think his changes are just about how he comes across and it's mainly about Trump winning in 2024 and Casey losing. On issues like the middle east he has always been more pro Israel.

39. You have to remember that MTG was a true believer
Sat Nov 22, 2025, 11:14 AM
Nov 22

She spent years in the Qanon rabbit hole and it'll be a long time, if ever, before she reconciles that with reality.

She believes the things she says, and I think honestly can't understand why Trump pushed her out.

I don't she's all that politically astute, so the idea of needing to distance herself for a statewide run isn't something she's going to be thinking about. She's even going out of her way to remind everyone of all the things she did to help Trump over the years.

I wouldn't expect MTG to suddenly become a Democrat. I actually expect the opposite, that she could become a 3rd party challenger from the right.

essentially defining Trump as not really true to MAGA. Her letter trashed Trump, while pointing out that she is true MAGA.

If anyone follows her out, which I think unlikely at this point, the MAGA base could be splintered.

Obviously, anti Trump does not mean anything other than anti Trump in her case. She might actually see it as her only way forward, though it will probably mean being out of office and hopefully without a platform in 2026.

Not to mention the mess she created for Georgia. They need a special election probably in the spring, where the winner will then have to run again in the 2026 election. The alternative, which won't happen is her seats stays empty for a year. Note all MTG had to do to prevent this is to stay in office and not run for reelection.
