AA flight operated entirely by Black women, from maintenance crew to the all female crew from Dallas to Phoenix. ❤️

Nice

American Airlines ✈️ honored Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman to earn a pilot's license 100 years ago, with a flight operated entirely by Black women, from maintenance crew to the all female crew from Dallas to Phoenix. ❤️

This is special, this is newsworthy.

Because I know how hard they all worked to get where they are, and how hard they have to continue to work to be considered the best in their profession.

… lionized as a beacon of truth and realism among the right, would have been scared to death to board such a flight. Charlie Kirk was still is an asshole.

Let us observe a solemn moment of remembrance for Charlie Kirk’s last words: “Gluck! Glug! Ack! Splugg! GACK!…”

I flew to the east coast for the eclipse and while I was spending an inordinate length of time in a major airport, I saw one particular crew of five or six, pilots and uniformed air crew, all women, one was white. I hope I didn't look like I was staring but I watched as they passed by out in the corridor, they were happy and laughing together. Made me feel good inside, like I had been part of the beginning of women in "male" occupations/professions. I hoped they would fly my flights at some point, or others like them.

Though I wish I didn't live in a time and world where we didn't have to celebrate things like this.

I mean it makes sense, but I never thought about it until I saw she received her license that long ago.
