He May never Face The Justice We Wanted

But it is justice he will get, not all at once, but little bites of justice that chews at his mind, little by little until it's all gone.
Especially given his recent behavior over the last month, I think the days of holding him accountable, in the traditional sense, have slipped away. It is becoming evident to any fair-minded observer that he is losing his grip on reality. His age, eating habits and attitude have finally caught up to him.

A think it's a far more fitting end though. Losing his mind and bodily functions, left alone and forgotten in a room all by himself.

Did the Ivermectin give him some giddy-yap?

Wore off, I guess.

He swallowed six worms. Will they be expelled?

I’m happy to see hell lapping at his ankles, worming it’s way up his urinary catheter drainage tube and spreading itself all across his skin and hair, drooping the right side of his face and sinking his little pea eyeballs into occasional seas of edema. And all while fewer and fewer people care about him. They’re moving on to the next hot things, and none of them are him. He’s officially a dead end.

Works for me.

Joe McCarthy only faced congressional censure for all the lives he ruined.

Roy Cohn only faced being disbarred for all the lives he ruined.

They both met with ignominious deaths of alcoholism and AIDS respectively.

I expect something like this for Trump.

He may not go to prison or made to surrender all the money he stole.

But when American History is studied, he will be regarded as a black stain on this country.

He's untouchable as long as he's in office, and if he's even still alive by the end of this term, he'll never be found competent to stand trial for anything. The dementia has progressed too far for that, and dementia only gets worse as time passes, never better. To paraphrase Dr. John Gartner, the Donald Trump you see on any given day is the best one you're ever going to see, because he's just going to keep getting worse until there's nothing left.

Watching his deteriation is the thing that's giving me the most hope these days. I can't see any possibility of him being in any shape to try to stay in office, much less run again, in 2028. His henchgoblins may be able to pull off "Weekend at Bernie's" for now, but they can't do it forever. The writing is on the wall, whether they want to believe it or not.

I agree that losing his ability to control his own mind and body is a very fitting end for him. This is a man who craves power and abhors what he considers "weakness" more than anything, and increasing "weakbess" is the only thing he has to look forward to. The only way he knows how to relate to other humans is to bully, intimidate, and manipulate them, and his ability to do those things is trickling away from him a little more each day.

If we're lucky, we may get to see some of his worst enablers go on trial for something one day, but we can't allow ourselves to get fixated on that, because it would only distract us from what we need to do to survive and to help the country get through these terrible times. Like that old civil rights song says, "Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on."
