NV-GOV: Lombardo vs. virtually anyone not named Lombardo might be a dead heat right now

In the race for Nevada governor, Republican incumbent Joe Lombardo and Democratic Attorney General Aaron Ford are tied at 41% in a poll released this morning by Emerson College Polling via KLAS.

A Lombardo-Ford contest, in keeping with Nevada gubernatorial campaign tradition, promises precious little in the way of a policy debate. Instead, each candidate — again, keeping with tradition — can be expected to spend most of their campaign war chests puffing up micro-scandals (that by the way have nothing to do with lowering the cost of anything) so as to cast the other as History’s Greatest Monster, a stinky poophead, etc.

And neither have begun spending much money doing that yet.

In other words, early days.
