Republicans in one swing state are worried Donald Trump's efforts in their area will "backfire,"

Snip

"Some North Carolina Republicans are worried President Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration crackdown in the battleground state could backfire," according to the outlet. "The Trump administration has touted its North Carolina surge as a successful operation targeting the 'worst of the worst' criminals, but some Republicans in the state — which will feature one of the most expensive and hotly contested Senate races next year — fear that message is not breaking through with voters."

Until now, the strategy has focused on blue states, according to the report.

"The White House has largely focused its immigration sweeps on blue states that Trump officials have decried as sanctuaries for unauthorized immigrants," the article states. "But the move to expand immigration arrests into North Carolina, mostly in the Charlotte area, offered the first test for whether the White House’s strategy can hold up in a purple state."

The article quotes former Republican Gov. Pat McCrory as saying, "Republicans had the upper hand on immigration, as long as they were going after the criminals and the gangs, but I think they’re losing the upper hand on that issue because of the apparent disjointed implementation of arrest.

Concerned citizens are asking . . . what proof?

Done a legal 180 - prove you are NOT the 'worst of the worst' but we are just going to assume you are until you prove otherwise?

Voters probably are getting the message - just not the one intended for public consumption.

Will Trump, in a fit of anger, declare them to be narco-terrorists and bomb their houses from a great height?

Meanwhile, if you have skin tone that says you are from south of the border, even if you are from India or elsewhere in Asia, stay off the streets as much as possible.
And of course, if you are undocumented, don't go to work. They may be waiting for you!

Roundup raids at 7-eleven. There is where 'they' work, right?
What next, schools and hospitals?

people being unfairly targeted this way, but equally worrying is the number of Americans who volunteer for this goon/ICE/intimidation job.

There seem to be so many of them.

Do they hate their fellow countrymen that much?

We used to have a 'white Australia policy' here decades ago.

If you wanted to immigrate to the country, you had better be white, or at least be European and no darker that Italian or Greek.

Somebody in government realized that was very racist! And done away with it.
