2. Irony about Anna Paulina

Is that she’s acting like a tool of the Kremlin.

More than a few of US DU’ers, despite right-wing labeling as Commie sympathizers, were hostile to the Soviet Union and wanted to see the end of the Soviet Empire. One of the Far Right’s games. Was to label us as tools of the Kremlin.

Both American-born right wingers and Cuban emigres got a lot of traction out of labeling those of us who favored easing tensions with Havana as tools of the Kremlin.

Fast-forward to 2025. The Soviet Union is gone. Russia is now an authoritarian kleptocracy unfriendly to the US. And a certain Florida congressional representative is as acting as shamelessly as a tool of the Kremlin as “fellow travelers” and genuine America Commies did 60 years ago.
