Question for those that might know...

If Halligan was deemed improperly installed as a US Prosecutor, how does Alina Habba still have her job when she was supposed to be removed months ago? Anybody know??

Sorry for the distraction, but is your screen name a nod to The Wasteland?

2. I would have to say no since I don't know anything about The Wasteland.

More like having a personal connection to the name Marie and a nod to the Blaster's song "Marie Marie". How has The Wasteland stolen my identity - LOL?

And I mistyped the title. It’s The Waste Land by TS Eliot. Here’s the part I meant. I love everything about this poem but is especially love this image in context.

And when we were children, staying at the archduke’s,

My cousin’s, he took me out on a sled,

And I was frightened. He said, Marie,

Marie, hold on tight. And down we went.

A 3-judge panel said on Oct 20 that they would be ruling in the next few weeks, and that would put us right about a week late on their delivering.

I watch this because I live in NJ.

I wanted to check my facts, so I did a search and as far as I can tell, there's nothing new since this story:

7. Thank you for that Cher - I think I just heard in passing on some podcast that she was supposed to go but

then the Litigator-in-Chief appealed so that make sense with what you are saying. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a ruling because I really, really want that arrogant, incompetent thing gone. She hasn't earned that position. Unless you count all those days when she had to sit in that courtroom next to Trump while he was farting so bad the whole courtroom reeked (according to those in attendance). She had a "front row seat" for that.

8. did you hear that Bondi said she's going

to appeal the Comey and Letitia James decisions? I heard her say it on a TV clip tonight. The DOJ is reportedly in shreds with their political manipulation, so good luck with that fruitless endeavor, Bondi.

There has been resignation after resignation. These lawyers have to protect their licenses and it is career suicide to operate the way Bondi and Trump want them to.

Here's a really good link that summarizes the chaos and stupidity going on at DOJ now:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2025/11/16/magazine/trump-justice-department-staff-attorneys.html

I'm not a lawyer, but I have done legal work pro se for decades. I've done 250 cases (mostly on behalf of the environment) and this has shown me how the system can be manipulated. I know how difficult the work can be and when I see people like Habba and Halligan i know there's not a prayer in the world they could do the job.

Oh, and btw, in reference to Habba's sitting in proximity to trump at his trial, Jonathan Alter wrote a book about that experience. He lives in the town next to me and came to our library to speak about his book. Yes, he did detail the disgusting, revolting presence of trump in that courtroom. He didn't hold back.

Why Habba or anyone else would spend a second of their time having anything to do with this maladministration is beyond me. It's obvious where they are going.

9. Good I hope they keep her - she's a Defense Attorney's dream come true - too stupid to know how stupid she is.

Again, thanks for all the info Cher. BTW - nice new Governor you got yourself there in NJ. Another woman who won't take Trump's crap.
