Not that long ago, you would never see a public example of extreme hatred promulgated by a government official. They would be identified, punished, maybe made to attend classes, sacked from their jobs and receive extremely negative press.
I've just read this thread by In It to Win It:
"Trump administration orders review of Biden-era refugees, memo shows"

What fresh hell is this? A retrospective round-up of people for whom the residency status should be done and dusted.
Or is it a more toxic, smouldering hatred of Joe Biden? How can ANY political decision ever stand when hatred and vengeance are openly deployed to exert political pressure when they should have passed into the text books.
How far back does trump's hatred go? We know that Obama is on the list, so are the Clintons but they were not always enemies. Who else?
I have an international message for the six spineless trolls who pretend to be Justices; YOU DID THIS. You not only allowed but you glorify the concepts of inequality, revenge and retribution. You advocated for hate, over tolerance, empathy and grace and you should be ashamed of yourselves. You may think history will be kind to you but believe me, it wont.
To put it mildly, this statement by trump stuns me, as it obviously stuns you. I'm so sorry this monster of hatred has invaded your country.

(27,993 posts)To arrest Presidents Obama and Biden tomorrow, he would do it. He is insanely jealous of them, and everything they accomplished. But mostly because they are good, decent and patriotic men, and people love and respect them.
I think Obama was the only one who would agree to sit next to him at Pres. Carter's funeral. Or maybe he just drew the short straw.
