LOL. I didn't say we didn't know where they are. That, by no means, asures we could destroy them before launch. Rafi Yesterday #9

But Xi could complicate issues.

But you're right... no way Trump does anything now.

Not that I want him too. This is some wag-the-dog bullshit.

Putin can't even handle Ukraine, which is in Russia's back yard and Xi certainly isn't going to send military forces into the US back yard.
Maduro is trying to fend off a US invasion any way he can, and I commend him for that and if those letters help, fantastic, but realistically, if Pedonald sent military forces against Venezuela,
there's really very little Russia and China could do to stop him.

Hopefully, this will make Pedonald think twice about invading Ven.

They include a super advanced hypersonic missile that we could probably not defend against. Whether they would use them or not, or who makes them is reminiscent of the Cuban Missile crisis of1962. That was as close to nuclear war as the world has been. So now we have Trump instead of JFK making decisions. Any of those old bomb shelters still available?

Moved to Key West just for the occasion, I started grade school there at that time. I'll never forget it.

I can see several sources saying Putin has talked about potentially doing that, but nothing reliable that he has done so (I found an obvious AI video that I'm discounting).

you really think that the CIA, DIA, NSA don't know where the missiles are?
If they're there, you can bet your bottom dollar that they know and those sites are already targeted.
In the event of hostilities, the US wouldn't even need ship borne weapons to take out those sites, it would probably be done with jets using standoff weapons.

Ven. air and sea defenses would be utterly destroyed before any invasion.

Hopefully, this isn't going to happen.

If they struck first we would have little defense. Those carriers are basically sitting targets for the anti-ship missiles. Sure we could strike back and then all bets are off.

but Ven. isn't going to launch first, and I'll bet those advanced systems aren't even manned by the Ven. military, there would be Russian military operating them and there is no way those Russians are going to pre-empt, especially in our back yard.

As I said, I hope it truly doesn't come down to this.
