Trump RX

TrumpRx is a federal government initiative centered around a new website, TrumpRx.gov, slated to launch in early 2026. The primary stated goal is to lower the cost of prescription drugs for Americans by creating a new pathway for purchasing medications directly from manufacturers at discounted rates.

The government-operated website will not directly sell or distribute medications. Instead, it’s designed to function as a search portal. Consumers can use the site to look up their prescriptions and, if a drug is part of the program, they will be redirected to the pharmaceutical manufacturer’s own direct-to-consumer platform to complete the purchase. This portal model keeps the government out of the complex logistics of the pharmaceutical supply chain.

My concern is that Trump will personally benefit from "Trump RX". It is one more step toward privatization of federal services. Biden did not create "Biden RX". He just lowered the prices.

2. Chump is naming it after himself, for the glory of his own ego

We already know that the term "Obamacare" was invented by the Repukes. PBO had nothing to do with the name "Obamacare" and in fact he detests it. Pres. Barack Obama named his signature healthcare program the "Affordable Care Act" and the proper nickname is the ACA. Why the Repukes insist on calling it Obamacare, we'll never know.

But Chump glorifies himself by using his own name in the third person, anywhere and everywhere he can do it. In many cases when a business includes his name, such as the "Chump Hotels & Resorts," or "Chump Steaks," he gets a kickback on every sale. Yes that's right ... money goes into his pocket. Ka-ching!

But in the case of "Chump RX" I don't believe he would benefit financially from the use of his name. It's just for his own ego and glory. Still the use of a person's name should be banned on any government program. It has never been done as far as I know, and it shouldn't start now.

Trump will take a cut, paid into a secret offshore account, for every prescription filled through his portal. Trump extorts everyone.

6. If you're correct, then this is a private business not a government program

'Democratic Health Committee Leaders Blast TrumpRx for Ties to Donors and Family and Question Cost Savings'

“We are deeply concerned that this DTC platform, centralized through TrumpRx.gov, will be yet another Administration action that enriches companies and industries with close ties to President Trump while doing nothing to reduce the excessively high costs of prescription drugs for Americans."

"The Democrats also wrote to the CEO of BlinkRx regarding concerns the company may be coordinating with the Trump Administration—an eyebrow-raising conflict of interest given Trump’s son sits on the company’s board of directors and whose investment fund recently raised $140 million dollars for the company."

" 'BlinkRx is promoting to pharmaceutical companies to establish DTC online platforms that would allow them to comply with President Trump’s demands,' the Democrats wrote to BlinkRx’s CEO. 'We also note that President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., joined the BlinkRx Board of Directors earlier this year. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Trump Jr.’s investment fund, 1789 Capital, led a $140 million Series D financing round for BlinkRx. The timing of the BlinkRx announcement so closely following the Administration’s outreach to the largest drug companies, and the involvement of President Trump’s immediate family, raises questions about potential coordination, influence, and self-dealing.'
