A: because he can’t remember it otherwise.

staring off into the distance during the 2024 presidential debate. Wish he looked back then the way he does now.

Here's another of DJT for your collection: https://www.rawstory.com/trump-hegseth-second-strike/

And if you want to creep out your christian friends, show them this one: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/president-donald-trump-looks-devil-021829952.html

I'm not religious, but that last one even sends shivers down my spine.

BTW, none of these photos, including the last one were photoshopped or altered in any way.

... that Biden was suffering from jet lag after a whirlwind tour, during which he became ill, resulting in a low-grade fever. He should have postponed the debate just for the fever alone. His diminished capacity as a result gave the weaselworld of Tappers, et cetera, all the excuse they needed to pile on. The rest is history.
What REALLY pissed me off was the number of Democrats that joined in that despicable feeding frenzy. The distorted optics of one night canceled out four years of remarkable accomplishments that the dirtbag Democratic message machine failed miserably to broadcast.
Biden was a great president, and he deserved better.

I read on Salon that Biden’s labor friendly moves really angered the Si Valley power brokers-Reid Hoffman etc..

Lina Khan-the one person who actually got something done-really angered the ruling class.

They don’t mind pointless performative exercises like Occupy WallSt as much:

WTF of the week: Occupy Wall St. cofounder wants Eric Schmidt named ‘CEO of America’

The Occupy Wall Street protest movement as a whole never seemed to have any concrete goals other than to play drum circles in public parks and now we can see why: One of its founders seems just as ideologically confused as the movement she helped create. The Guardian reports that Justine Tunney, who created the OccupyWallSt.org website and who now works as a software engineer at Google, has just launched a White House petition demanding that Barack Obama step down as president and then have Google chairman Eric Schmidt appointed to take his place as “CEO of America.”

It goes without saying that getting rid of an elected chief executive in favor of an appointed corporate overlord seems to go against the “direct democracy” ideology that Occupy Wall Street protesters tend to embrace. However, Tunney has apparently had her mind changed ever since starting work at Google: Just as she once drank the Kool-Aid about Occupy being a completely new kind of non-traditional movement that would Change Everything, so has she drank the Silicon Valley Kool-Aid about working at a new kind of non-traditional business that will Change Everything.

“Silicon Valley is firmly post-capitalist,” she wrote earlier this year, much to the bewilderment of many of her Twitter followers. “There just isn’t a name for it yet.”

In a lot of ways, Tunney seems like the perfect Google employee since pretending to save the world through shameless self-promotion has long been the company’s modus operandi.

I found a good summary here of this movement:
https://www.dailygrail.com/2025/02/the-bizarre-2014-petition-that-seems-to-have-predicted-america-in-2025/

I deleted these from my journal earlier this year, but they are worth a read:

https://www.theawl.com/2015/09/the-darkness-before-the-right/

This sadly cannot be found elsewhere. These creeps are fascinating. They really are like nothing else:

https://readthis.wtf/writing/nick-land-an-experiment-in-inhumanism/

(My posts are a mess because I use my DU journal to mark time and save stuff I will want to inspect later)

Land seems to be moving in a different direction of crazy now:
https://aexo13research.substack.com/p/nick-land-from-materialist-emergentism
(Substack has the worst rubbish anywhere in the world. The internet is largely a giant pustule by now).

These are the stupidest people anywhere. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d actually kick in a buck to send this entire lot to Mars as they seem to want to. Only it should be a one way trip. No returning to earth. They can stay on Mars.

Anyway I have to go work. I can’t keep feeling smarter by avoiding work and looking at these creeps and going “Well okay. At least I am not that stupid..” The main reason I surf the web a handful of sites like DU/current affairs etc aside.

With the exception of a few non-work sites, it isn’t to educate myself or change the world, but to stare at trainwrecks and go “well okay these people are definitely stupider than I am.” And it’s usually these tech creeps.

I never understood that “the internet will change the world stuff”. I thought the point of the internet was some work, some activism and mostly staring at trainwrecks. People should be honest about stuff like that.

It’s a indictment of this lousy economic model that so many decent and intelligent humans have to use this foul beast (the net) to make a living as these brainless creeps lay everything else to waste. They are straining everyone to the hilt and except those IDW etc grifters who embrace it, it’s a shit deal for everyone else.

Who was the idiot that agreed to a debate schedule right after his global trip? Or if the debate was already scheduled, who planned out a global trip just prior?

We always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot somehow. That debate was a cluster.

You can't really go on a single photo. The photographer might have caught the subject at a bad time, or a good time.

Now... multiple photos... over a long period of time. That's a different story, entirely. Sleepy Don has some serious health issues.

Still pisses me off. The camera operator shot him from the side. There is not ONE old person who doesn't have a scary looking profile. That includes me. If you're old, check it out. You'll scare the hell out of yourself.
