6. I've stopped bothering to debating them and just skip to getting them to...

...think about what their own red lines are. Almost all of them do have them on various issues when forced to think about it.

My theory is that making them think about it will make them keenly aware of it when the lines are crossed. It may not stop them, but it is harder to ignore the hypocrisy in yourself when you've had to say it out loud to someone.

When I think about all the lines that have been crossed already by conservatives I lament not doing it sooner. At the very least, when those lines are crossed and you see them again you can ask WTF? It's hard to hide from things you said to someone out loud. They can't pretend they were always onboard with it--all they can do is try to justify why they changed their opinion, and that is far more difficult than pretending it was your opinion all along.

The hardest part is anticipating what the new red lines should be.

How about we call it "doctor misidentification" which is where some of it no doubt comes from? Gender actually is fluid, and is made to fit in a small box. If it doesn't fit neatly in that box, the doc makes the best guess he can to get something filled in on the birth certificate. and Oz and Kennedy kept using the term. of course it's difficult to understand "gravel throat" and Oz is an idiot, but I thought I was hearing "sex denying".. and when I read transcripts is was "sex rejecting" both non medical or scientific terms.. Shame on these people..
