This just dawned on me, reading a story about how Trump's deportations and detainments are wiping out staff at nursing homes.

And I saw a photo from his 2024 campaign photo op, where he posed with a table of groceries at Mar-a-Lago, promising to lower prices.

And we all know prices went up, not down.

But I can hear this conversation in my head:

AMERICAN PEOPLE: We can't afford to buy food, heat our homes, or pay for medical treatment.

TRUMP: Well, you should have been born rich.
