Economists keep saying a K-shaped economy isn't sustainable, but the bottom 2/3rds seems to find a way to get by.
What keeps it going I think, is that the top 1/3 does spend a bit more than 1/3 of our spending.
What will keep it going in 2026, IMO, is the fact that the financial numbers are going to be fudged, the MSM will help by pushing the narrative, "let them eat cake."
When Krasnov gets control of the Fed all hell is going to break loose for the bottom 2/3. Krasnov will lower interest rates to zero which will raise inflation, (even if the official numbers say otherwise) but it will also weaken the dollar which will mean that our dollars won't buy as much of those Chinese goods at Walmart. The only economic goal that Krasnov has now is to weaken the dollar.
With billionaires in Krasnov's administration there will be no impetus to get us out of our K-shaped economy, it will get worse.

(3,369 posts)... this "K-shaped economy" refers to, but I, too, think it's more "V-shaped" now, and gaining speed in its downward plunge.
Trump's continued existence depends on him fulfilling the directive given him by Putin: Destroy America from within, and that's exactly what he's doing. Trump is the worst thing to happen to this country since the Civil War.
