When you have no principles or morals...
You do not care about lying, or cheating, or stealing, or even, killing.
If it promotes your interests personally, or as a group, then there are no second thoughts.
You do not contemplate punishment because you control those that would punish.
For me, this is the present-day Republican Party.
Would they lie, or cheat, to try and steal an election?
Yes. They would even kill.
