What can happen when a country elects someone who attempted a coup:

AFAIK, in 200 years, only 3 times did a country elect someone who had attempted a coup:

- Louis Napoleon (France, 1848)
- Adolf Hitler (Germany, 1933)
- Hugo Chavez (Venezuela, 1998)

Each one became dictator. I think we will be the first exception, but it's not something you screw around with.

The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

According to https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/fact-sheet/party-affiliation-fact-sheet-npors/ 45% of all Americans lean towards or are Democrats. America's population is 342 million. That's 157.3 million Democrats. In addition there's an 8% who answered "no lean" meaning they are not leaning towards Republicans. So over half of all Americans 53% don't lean towards Republican according to the survey. If our country falls and turns into a dictatorship where will we all go? A lot of us are too poor to move.

Fighting is our only option. We must do it! I personally have family in red states who cannot afford to leave. So I fight for them everyday and I hope you will too.
